Sir, —As a frequent visitor from the North Island and a keen supporter of speedway racing, I read with some regret that stock car racing has been emitted from next Saturday night’s programme. I would be interested to hear, through this column, if the promoter intends abandoning the stock cars, as he did the racing cars last season.—Yours, etc.. L. E. JOHNSON. January 4, 1956.
