Peter Thomson, of Australia, the British open champion for the last two years, teamed with Angel Miguel Gutierrez, of Spain, today, to defeat Doug. Ford, the United States Professional Golfers’ Association champion, and Biagetti, 3 and 2, in the opening round of the international cup matches at the Tam o’Shanter golf course. But though the leading American pan was defeated, the United States team of eight professionals beat their foreign opponents by 2’i matches to 1%. HANDIER SPRINGS CLUB.— Monthly medal. Senior: A. V.
