CUP FOR LINWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
A cup for Competition among boys learning to play brass or silver band instruments has been given to the Linwood High School by Mr D. Taylor, who trains the school bugle band. The competition will be judged by a qualified bandsman. Two medals have also been presented to the school, by an anonymous donor, for winners of the contest. “I am very pleased to see the musical activities of the school being encouraged,” said the headmaster (Mr B. H. Wakelin). The board expressed its appreciation of these gifts, and letters of thanks will be sent to the donors.
