CONTROL OF NOXIOUS WEEDS
ADVICE AVAILABLE TO FARMERS “I think that ratepayers should know that this man is available tq go on to their land and advise them on their weeds,” said Cr. J. D. Henderson at a meeting of the Paparua County Council. The council was discussing the work of the field supervisor of noxious weeds (Mr R. W. Mackenzie), who is employed by the Paparua, Springs, Halswell, Ellesmere, and Malvern counties. “The scheme is new, and some farmers may not know the advice is available to them,” said Cr. Henderson. Representatives of the five councils are to meet every three months to discuss the progress in noxious weed control.
