ITINERARY FOR “MISS WEST COAST”

VISIT TO SYDNEY AND MELBOURNE An itinerary has been received for < the visits to Sydney and Melbourne of ! Mis- Mary Alabaster, who was re- ' cently chosen Miss West Coast at the < Greymouth Junior Chamber of Com- : merce Industries Fair. Included in the programme which : has been arranged by Junior Chambers of Commerce in Australia is an ( appearance in a feature programme at ( a Sydney radio station, a morning tea , reception at the Sydney Town Hall oy , the Lady Mayoress, a cocktail party J at the office of the New Zealand Trade j Commissioner (Mr Malcolm) and a . tour of Sydney. At Melbourne, Miss Alabaster will see an Australian rules football game as the guest of the Mel- < bourne Football Club and a class in < Modelling by a leading mannequin. 1 The Canterbury Junior Chamber of i Commerce is also co-operating in the 1 project and has made arrangements < for an afternoon tea function in Miss j Alabaster’s honour on the day. She • leaves for Melbourne. Relatives, Grey- 1 mouth members who are in Christ- 1 church, and also members of the Canterbury senior chamber and their ■ wives will be invited to the function. 1 ‘Miss West Coast” is also being feted ! at Greymouth and has been invited to be the guest of honour at at least two functions.
