LYTTELTON BRANCH Mrs E. H. Green presided at the April meeting of the Lyttelton branch of the Plunket Society, and welcomed Mesdames W. Geayley, F. Gilmore, and J. Mahar, new members of the committee. Arrangements were made for the children’s May Day party, and the annual Plunket ball. « The nurse’s, report for the month was as .follows: birth notifications, Lyttelton 3, Heathcote 1; number of new baby cases, Lyttelton 4, Heathcote 1, Diamond Hafbour 1; visits to homes to babies. Lyttelton 28, Heathcote 2, Diamond Harbour 3, Governor’s Bay 2 visits to homes to pre-school children, Lyttelton 10, Governor’s Bay 2, Diamond Harbour 3; visits of babies to rooms, Lyttelton 116, Heathcote 10, Governor’s Eay 6, Diamond Harbour 4, Port Levy 2; visits of pre-school children to rooms, Lyttelton 40, Heathcote 14; transfers to other centres, Lyttelton 2; telephone consultations, Lyttelton 24; number of babies under supervision at the end of March. Lyttelton 9, Heathcote 13, Governor’s Bay 17, Diamond Harbour 8, Port Levy 2; number of pre-school children examined by school medical officer, Lyttelton 21, Heathcote 14; number of preschool children examined by Plunket nurse, Lyttelton-49.
