Heavy Earthquake In China
(Rec. 11 p.m.) TAIPEH (Formosa), April 16. The second devastating earthquake in two days occurred on Friday between Communist China’s north-west province of Sinkiang and Afghanistan, the provincial weather bureau announced today. The bureau called it one of the greatest ever recorded. It said the latest earthquake was capable of causing destruction greater than Thursday’s disturbance which, the bureau said, occurred in the Chungking area.
