NASSER ARRIVES IN INDIA

Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) NEW DELHI, April 12k The Egyptian Prime Minister (Lieu-tenant-Colonel Nasser) was greeted by Mr Nehru and cheered by a crowd of 3000 carrying the Egyptian and Indian flags when he arrived in New Delhi today on his way to the African-Asian conference at Bandung. After meeting diplomats, ColoneJ Nasser was garlanded and showered with rose petals. Colonel Nasser will have talks with Mr Nehru and later visit Rangoon for talks with Burmese leaders before flying to Bandung. He told reporters who questioned him on foreign policy . and Egypt’s attitude to regional pacts: “We believe in independence—complete independence.”
