VISIT OF CANCER SPECIALISTS
TOUR OF N.Z. CENTRES IN AUGUST
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 12. Two prominent English cancer specialists, a radiologist and a surgeon, will visit New Zealand early in August. They are Professor Brian W. Windeyei’ and Sir Stanford Cade. Their visit has been organised by the Auckland branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society, in co-operation with the post-graduate committee in medicine of Sydney University. During their two weeks in New Zealand they will talk to doctors in several centres. Afterwards they will go to Sydney, where Sir Stanford Cade will address the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and the Australasian Medical Congress. Professor Windeyer, who has been described as the most eminent radiologist in Britain, is a graduate of Sydney University. He is professor of radiology at the University of London and head of the Radiotherapy Institute attached to Middlesex Hospital.
Sir Stanford Cade is a well-known Harley street surgeon. He is a consultant to several hospitals, a lecturer. and has twice received a Hunterian professorship. He plays a prominent role in several medical organisations. During the war he was an air vice-marshal.
