FOUR CASES ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL
(New Zealand Press Association) WANGANUI, January 20. Four poliomyelitis cases have been admitted to the Wanganui Hospital within the last 12 days. All the patients are young and none of the cases is severe. Paralysis has not developed in any of the cases. Dr. H. L. Widdowson, medical superintendent at the hospital, said today that so far there had been no indication of a widespread outbreak. There was nothing to worry about unless more cases were reported. The first positive poliomyelitis case was admitted to hospital on January 8. The others came on different days and the fourth was admitted two days ago. Two of the patients are Wanganui children and two are from the country.
