THE GENERAL ELECTION
NATIONAL PARTY’S CAMPAIGN MR HOLLAND’S ITINERARY ANNOUNCED (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 27. The Prime Minister (Mr Holland) will open the National Party campaign in the General Election with a speech at Christchurch on October 18—his sixty-first birthday. The remainder of his itinerary is as follows:—October 19. Timaru; October 20, Dunedin; October 21, Invercargill; October 22, Oamaru; October 23, Fendalton; October -25, Nelson; October 26, Masterton; October 27, Napier; October 28, Gisborne; November 1, Wellington; November 2, Wanganui; November 3. New Plymouth; November 4, Hamilton; November 5, Whangarei; November 8, Auckland; November 9, Rotorua; November 10, Hastings; November 11. Palmerston North.
On November 12, the eve of the election, Mr Holland will deliver a halfhour broadcast address.
