CHRISTCHURCH BRANCH The resignation of Mrs E. Fairclough was received with regret at the monthly meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Plunket Society. Mrs Fairclough had been a member of the branch for many years. Mrs Janet Williams, the president, reported on the success of a recent cocktail party, and thanked all who had given assistance.

Horner) presented the following report for the month:—mothers admitted, 20: babies admitted, MJ mothers discharged, 20; babies discharged, 36; twins admitted, 6; premature babies admitted, 11; premature babies discharged, 7. The charge sister (Miss J. Mackay) reported for the month:—mew baby cases, 272; visits of babies to rooms, 2986; visits to babies in homes, 2023.
