BOOK ON ROYAL FAMILY
Injunction Brought In New York NEW YORK, July 15. An injunction to restrain John Dean, now in London, from publishing a fcfook about the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke of Windsor and other members of the Royal Family except under his management was brought in the Supreme Court yesterday by William Taub, an authors’ agent. Taub, who lives in New York, said in an affidavit that Dean had signed a contract with him in March of last year making him business manager in all transactions concerning a manuscript about the Royal Family then in the course of preparation. In April Dean sent him a cablegram saying he intended to ignore the contract, Taub said in the affidavit. “Dean told me he had been valet to the Duke of Edinburgh for a number of years and that it was the practice of the Royal Household to require all employees to execute an agreement that they would not publish anything they had learned while in such employment, but Dean said he had not been required to execute such an agreement and was the only one free to reveal certain incidents and episodes relating to the Royal Household,” said Taub.
