Professor G. Williams And Mr I. Cross (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright)
(Rec. 9.30 pjn.) NEW YORK, June 5. The Carnegie Corporation of New York today announced a financial grant to Professor Gordon Williams, of the University of Otago, for study abroad next year. Professor Williams, Dean of the Faculty of Mines and Metallurgy at the university, is to study recent developments in the United States and Europe in training and techniques in his field, beginning next February. The .corporation also announced a grant to Mr lan Cross, of the “Dominion” newspaper, Wellington. He is New Zealand’s selected Nieman Fellow for 1954.
