HONOUR FOR N.Z. PHILOSOPHER
INTERNATIONAL BODY REPRESENTATIVE , (New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, December 17. Professor J. A. Passmore, head of the department of philosophy and psychology at the University of Otago, has been invited to accept election as the New Zealand representative on the International Institute of Philosophy. This was reported to a meeting of the Otago University Council. “If he accepts, he joins a small' but very distinguished group of philosophers," said Dr. F. G. Soper, the vice-chancellor. Professor Passmore told the “Otago Daily Times” later that he was accepting the invitation.
