PEDESTRIAN KILLED NEAR TEMUKA
(From. Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, November 9. A pedestrian was killed yesterday when he was struck by .a car on the Main South highway about a mile and a half north of Temuka. He was: , Horace Colville, aged 88, a farmer, of Temuka. He was a widower. The accident occurred about 10.30 p.m. There was a thick fog at the time. The car was driven by Daniel Bernard O’Connor, of God ley street, Temuka. An inquest was opened this morning in Temuka before Mr E. H. Turner and was adjourned sine die after evidence of identification had been given and a post mortem examination ordered.
