Minor Fires. — Damage was done to the rear of a wooden shed, to some trees and some rubbish by a small fire at 11 Cliff street, Moncks Bay, yesterday afternoon. The property is owned and occupied by Mr G. H. White. The Christchurch Fire Brigade received a call at 4.15 p.m., and one engine each from the Woolston and Sumner stations responded. The brigade was called out again, at 8.22 p.m., to a chimney fire in the house of Mr A. H- Jones, 272 Madras street. One motor from the headquarters station answered this call.
