NEW ZEALAND DELEGATE RETURNS Miss Amy Kane, a New Zealand delegate to the meeting of the Associated Countrywomen of the World held recently in Toronto, has returned to Wellington. Before going to Canada, Miss Kane attended an executive meeting of the A.C.W.W. in London. and, - also on behalf of the A.C.W.W., attended a meeting of the non-governmental organisations in Geneva. In addition, she had the very interesting experience of attending for three days a council meeting of the Food and Agricultural Organisation in Rome. “The conference in Toronto was an extremely big one, as so many Canadians and Americans were able to attend,” said Miss Kane. “It was very well organised and everything went very smoothly.” After the conference, Miss Kane went to the United States and spent a week at the Long Island summer home of Mrs Fowler, one of the members who attended the Pan-Pacific conference in New Zealand last year. Whije in New York, she was entertained by Pan-Pacific members and met again Miss J. Schain, who visited New Zealand as president of the movement. On her return to Toronto, Miss Kane was the guest of Mrs McKinnon, formerly Miss Plimmer. of Wellington.
