POLE SEEKS U.S. PROTECTION
MEMBER OF POLISH U.N. DELEGATION NEW YORK, September 18. Dr. Marek Korowicz, a member of the Polish delegation to the United Nations, asked the United States for political asylum today. He is described in the Polish delegation list as a “professor at the University of Krakow.” He told a press conference: “Life in Poland was a nightmare. I have left my post on the Warsaw delegation in order to join free Poles abroad, to work together with them for the liberation of my homeland and all peoples oppressed by Soviet • communism.”
