CANADA BEATS MEXICO (Rec. 8.30 p.m.) OTTAWA, July 19. Canada won the first round in the North American zone of the Davis Cup tie today from Mexico. Lome Main beat Mario Llamas (Mexico), 6-2. 6-3, 6-3; and Contreras (Mexico) beat Henri Richon (Canada), 6-4, 6-4, 7-5. Belgium won the doubles in the European zone final of the Davis Cup competition today and now leads Denmark by two matches to one. Philippe Washer and Jacques Brichant (Belgium) beat Kurt Nielsen and Torben Ulrich, 4-6, 3-6, 9-7, 6-1, 6-4.
