POLISH PRIEST MISSING

Kidnapping Feared In Bradford LONDON, July 19. Canon Henryk Czorni, the chief Polish Roman Catholic chaplain in Yorkshire, said last night that he believed that Father Henry Borynski, chaplain to the Polish community in Bradford, has been kidnapped by “enemies of priests and the church” in Britain.

Father Borynski, who is 6ft and weighs 14 stone, disappeared from his presbytery last Monday night after he received a telephone call. Canon Czorni said: “We are searching, but we fear we might not see him alive again. The enemies of the church are angry that men Such as Father Borynski can bind the Polish people together in the church.”

Another priest, Father B. Martynellis, said Father Borynski did not hide his strong anti-Commbnist feelings.
