THE CORONATION

Sir, —I very sincerely believe with “Ex-Russian Convoys” that the sharing of those surplus foods which successive governments have so callously dumped into the sea would have helped us to gain friends. The free democracies will need to expand their efforts to help the less fortunate countries of the world if they are to save them from the Communist grip. However I still suggest to ,r Ex-Russian Convoys” that he should avail himself of the opportunity of seeing one of the Coronation films, and of noting the spontaneous outburst of love from the hearts of the ordinary people of Britain as they acclaim their beloved Queen. It is not every day that we crown a queen, but we have plenty of opportunities of extending our beneficence to our fellows when we have a mind to do so. So your correspondent’s niggardly wail will not greatly agitate BRmSH . June 22, 1953.
