A Derry and Richards memori-1 medal is to be struck by the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators for award annually from 1954 to a pilot whose flying has been of outstanding value to the science of aviation. The memorial is being established by the staff and members of the de Havilland Enterprise in memory of John Derry and Anthony Richards, who lost their lives in the accident to the D.H. 110 at Farnborough on September 6, 1952. The award will be made to pilots professionally engaged in flying for the testing or development of British aircraft, but members of the regular forces will not be eligible.
