WOOL SALE AT MELBOURNE

(Rec. 11 p.m.) MELBOURNE, June 1. There was a full clearance of the 11,300 bales offered at the Melbourne wool sales today. Compared with other centres last week the market basically showed little change. Merinos were keenly sought and comebacks and fine crossbreds maintained satisfactory levels, but the coaser crossbreds were most irregular. The chief buyers were from Central Europe and they were mainly for Merinos. Extra superfine Merino made 190 id, super crossbred combing 136 d, good to super crossbred combing around 90d.
