HEATHCOTE SUB-BRANCH At the annual meeting of the Heathcote sub-branch of the Plunket Society the following officers were elected: patron, Mrs V. A. Bloom; president, Mrs M. Ashley; vice-presidents, Mrs H. Young and Mrs E. Collins; secretary, Mrs E. W. Arnold; treasurer, Mrs F. Garland; committee, Mesdames F. McFadgen, R. Connolly, J. Carter. K. Wyman, E. Papps, M. Swanson, G. Munnings, H. Collier, S. Radcliffe, M. Bailey, A. Roberts and S. Reed. Certificates of merit were presentled to Mesdames V. A. Bloom, S. Radcliffe and H. Collier. The guest speakers were Sister Frazer and Mr Challis, of the Christchurch Public Hospital, whose subject was children’s footwear.
