BRITISH SAILORS’ SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING OF LYTTELTON GUILD A year of successful activity in the interest of seafarers visiting Lyttelton was reviewed in the report presented at the annual meeting of the Lyttelton Ladies' Guild of the British Sailors’ Society. Members had organised entertainments for seamen throughout the year, and were responsible for the special entertainments for the men at Christmas, said the report. Canteen duty had been undertaken, and seamen visited in hospital. Mr Wallace Keetley, president of the Lyttelton branch of the society, presided, and those present included members of the board of directors of the society and representatives of the Christchurch guild. Officers were elected as follows: president. Mrs L. Stanley; vice-presi-dents, 'Mesdames W. T. Lindsay, F. Anderson. A. Lewis. R. Brunsden, R. Philips. Misses W. Hatch well, and A. Voyce; secretary, Miss J. R. Sneddon; treasurer, Mrs L. McDonald.
