ROLLESTON SUB-CENTRE

Mrs M. G. Wilson presided at the annual meeting of the Rolleston subcentre of the Red Cross Society. She thanked all who had helped the subcentre during the year. It was reported that the membership was 39, and cash in hand amounted to £42 10s lOd. The sum of £3 had been given to the headquarters building fund. 15s for Christmas parcels, £lO to the North Canterbury centre, and £5 towards flood relief in Great Britain and Holland. The sum of £l4 2s 9d had been raised at csrd parties and dances. Goods had also been provided for the annual street day appeal, and vegetables contributed to the Good Neighbour scheme. Officers were elected as follows: president, Mrs M. G. Wilson; vicepresident, Miss L. Willetts; secretary, Mrs D. Newell; delegate, Miss Willetts. A competition was won by Mr A. Campbell. The hostesses were Misses Willetts and Una Pearce.
