TOWN PLANNING
Sir, —May “Inquirer” be reminded that important as are aesthetic reasons for good town planning, of far greater concern is consideration of health and comfort,’and ability to foresee likely ill effects of neglect of such duty. “Eysore’s” discharging smoke, cinders or fumes can aggravate or so irritate as to cause chronic sore eyes, nose, throat, chest and other troubles. Timber stacking premises (a dangerous fire hazard in any residential area) appear to grow chimneys and develop further works and factories overnight.—Yours, etc., HEALTH FIRST. November 11, 1952.
