AN ARTICLE PRAISED
Sir, —“Man does not live by bread alone,” and, whenever one of us earns a big merit mark by doing work specially well, it surely calls for a little praise or eulogy from one of those who have benefited by it. I want to thank “R.T.8.” for that very fine article “New Zealand Cup Day at Riccarton,” in “The Press” of Saturday, November 8. I enjoyed every word of it. It was a pure delight to read, rich in very fine humour, clever and witty. It is almost the best article of its kind that could have been written on the onlooker’s side of this absorbing subject. To everyone who finds entertainment in bright, up-to-the-moment reading matter, and who has not read this article on page 6 of “The Press” last Saturday, I would say—“ Don’t miss it!” —Yours, etc., EMILY BAIZEEN. November 9, 1952.
