TROPHY FOR OWNER OF OAKS WINNER
The owner of the winner of the New Zealand Oaks this year will be presented with a small trophy, one associated m past years with the Middle Park Plate, which is no longer a semi-classic. The cost .of the trophies has been met from a legacy from Mr J. B. Reid.
Coining to Riccarton.—The trainer W. A. Welton will transfer from Washdyke to Riccarton soon.
Ellerslie Scratchings.-—White Ensign was scratched at 1.55 p.m. yesterday from the Shorts Handicap at the Auckland Racing Club’s meeting at Ellerslie on Saturday. —(P.A.)
