OPTIMISTS’ CLUB
The boys’ department of the Christchurch Y.M.C.A. was filled last Friday evening when a variety concert was presented by the Optimists Club. Items were given by Martin Winiata and his orchestra. Messrs Harold Keane. Denis Manhire, Dave Christensen and Keith Smith, afad Mesdames C. E. Fenwick and Maisie McNair. Mr Jack Boughen led community singing and gave a conjuring display. Mr Selwyn Toogood conducted a quiz session in which a number of members of the club took part ;
