NEW ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES

ONLY FOUR OBJECTIONS RECEIVED From Our Own Reporter

WELLINGTON, February 21. Only four objections against the proposed reallocation of electoral boundaries have so far been received by the Representation Commission. The Surveyor-General (Mr R. G. Dick), who is chairman of the commission, said to-day that it was customary for objections to be slow in coming forward, and more were expected before the time limit expired. Mr Dick said the time limit for objections was fixed originally for March 10, and the commission had hoped to consider them at a sitting in Wellington on March 12. Accommodation difficulties in Wellington had forced the commission to postpone its sitting until March 25, and objections could now be lodged up to that date.
