San Domenico performed so strikingly to win the Canterbury Stakes at Canterbury that his connexions declared him a certain starter in the Epsom Handicap. He outc'asseu the field, including Aerofoil and the New Zealander, Davey Jones, and scored a runaway victory in the straight. In the Canterbury Guineas, Forest Beau had an easy run through to beat Neat Andrew and the New Zealand-owned Montana. Results:— CANTERBURY STAKES (Weight-for-age, with allowances); of £lOOO.
