NUMBERS MAY BE INCREASED

(Rec. 7 p.m.) WASHINGTON, August 30. President Truman said to-day that the United States forces would be stronger than before if they had to renew full-scale fighting in Korea. Mr TYuman, who was speaking at a press conference, also said he was backing General Ridgway “100 per cent” in everything the general had done since the cease-fire negotiations began and were interrupted by the Communists.
