MURDER CHARGE DISMISSED

SYDNEY, August 30. After a retirement of four hours, a Criminal Court jury last evening found Terrance Heffernan, aged 23, a former no’ice constable, not guilty of the murder of his father. Charles Heffernan, a well-known “strong man.”

After the verdict the accused was charged with having buried the body of h's father before the Coroner could hold an inquest. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded on bail.
