COAL SUPPLIES
Sir, —Being one of many in this district who are dependent on the anthracite for using in the Esse and Aga cookers, we wondered if you could give us any information as to whether the mine is working again, and when we may expect to get supplies. Having no gas and no electricity in the district we are in a pretty desperate position. We would be grateful for any information you could give us—Yours, etc., KAIKOURA.
