TRAMWAY SERVICES
Sir, —I see the Tramway Board is providing trial extra bus services on the scattered suburb of Mount Pleasant, and a Sunday service to Wainoni. How much longer have the passengers on the antiquated and overloaded service to Avonside to put up with an inadequate daily and Saturday service, and no buses on Sunday? Surely if these services are to be increased, this closely-settled Avonside route should be given first attention.— Yours, etc., MORRIS STREET.
‘ August 25, 1951. [This letter was referred to the general manager of the Christchurch Tramway Board (Mr J. F. Fardell). who said that any inquiries relating to the board's services should be addressed to the Christchurch Tramway Board’s office in Cathedral square, where they would receive full and courteous consideration.]
