WINS FOR CHRISTCHURCH PLAYERS

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 30 The junior golf championship tournament held by the Wellington District Golf Association ended to-day in perfect weather. The under 21 championship was won by R. D. Kearns (Christchurch), who followed up his 76 on Wednesday with a brilliant 73, one over scratch, to-day. Kearns’s aggregate of 149 was two strokes better than that of G. Lees (Titirangi), who followed his 76 in the first round with a 75. Next came W. J. Lancaster (Manawatu), 78, 76—154; J. G. Scott (Waitikirl, Christchurch), 82, 74—156: B. W. Cleland (Christchurch), 83, 74—157; J. W. Johnston (Russley), 79, 79—158; J. Stern (Shannon), 78, 80—158; and D. J. Ramsay, 79, 79—158. B. M. Colquhoun, a 16-year-old Christchurch player, followed up his 77 in the first round with a fine 73 to-day to win the under 17 championship. His aggregate of 150 was four strokes better than that of the runner-up, J. G. Scott (Waitiklri). who added an outstanding 74 to his 82 on Wednesday. Next were D. Brodie (Castlecliff). 77, 83—160; J.
