RIFLE SHOOTING
CHRISTCHURCH DEFENCE CLUB The financial statement showed that the club wag in a sound position, said the S resident of the Christchurch Defence ifle Club (Mr D. T. Kerr), at the annual meeting of the club. It was decided to open the season on Saturday, September 29. The following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr J. W. Graham; president, Mr D. F. Kerr; deputy-president, Mr H. Harries; vice-presidents. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, Lieutenant-Colonel K. R. J. Morrison, Lieutenant J. R. Benge. Messrs Cracroft Wilson, R. Duthle, P. Le Brun. W. R. Heney, J. P. Oakes J. McKenzie, and H. Brake; secretary, Mr R. H. Neill; treasurer. Mr D. Murray; assistant-secre-tary, Mr G. P. Crump; handicapper, Mr H. Harries; committee, Messrs G. P. Crump. D. Harries, E. Graham, E. Truman, M. Brons, J. Benfell, D. McKenzie, and N. Kitchen; selection committee, Messrs D. F. Kerr, H. Harries, and G. P. Crimp.
