SHOOTING MATCH
WAIHORA AND U.S.A. CLUBS The Waihora Gun Club’s team beat the Christchurch R.S.A. Rifle Club's team by 337 points to 296 in a match at the weekend. Individual scores off gun and rifle were as follows: Waihora Club.—L. Eden, 16 (gun), 13 (rifle)—29; H. Hatchard, 14, 15—29; M. Quigley, 14, 14—28; R. Radford, 12, 13—25; S. Bennett, 13, 14—27; D. Coakley, 17, 12—29; C. Schaffer, 13, 17—30; F. Radford, 13, 13—26; L. Bennett, 20, 13—33; F. Gray. 7, 5—12; L. Hubbard, 8. 14—22; E. Bearman, 10, 16—26; E. J. Bennett, 11, 10—21; total. 168, 169—337.

The following were the results of other clay target shoots held during the day:— First sweep, of five targets: L. Eden, W Chalmers, W. Quigley, D. Coakley, and S. Bennett, with possibles, divided the sweep. Second sweep, of five pairs, double rise: W. Quigley, with the possible, took first money, and E. Bearman and L. Eden, with eight on. divided the remainder. During the match shoot, Waihora shooters were paired with R.S.A. shooters in an option sweep. D. Watson and P. Riches took first money, and E. Bearman and E. Stick, W Quigley and I. Brown, the remainder.
In the final match, of five targets off 16 yards, L. Eden and M. Tyson divided the sweep Each shot the possible.
