SEVERAL SMALL FARMS

OFFERED Several farm properties were offered for sale bv public auction in Christchurch yesterday. A small dairy farm of 27 acres 3 roods in Ohoka township, seven miles from Rangiora. and six miles from Kaiapoi, was sold for £4lOO. 'Die property, offered on account of Mr D. G. Williamson, includes a four-roomed bungalow. A property of 44 acres of dairying and grazing land at Little Akaloa, with a five-roomed house, was sold for £3750 to Mr R. G. Wilce, of Little Rakaia. The property was offered on account of Mr A. Salt. A cropping and sheep-fattening property of 246 acres, held on lease in perpetuity at Highbank. seven miles from Methven and 24 miles from Ashburton was passed in at £43 an acre after bidding had started at £4O. The property, including a three-roomed cottage, was offered on account of Mr A. Stockdill. . , A property of 16 acres, including a bungalow of four main rooms, at Hawthornden road, Upper Riccarton, was offered on account of the estate of the late W. R. Hockey. It was passed m at £4400. , „ „ A dairv farm of 45 acres 2 roods 37 perches, with a six-roomed house, in Mairehau road. Marshland, was offered on account of the estate of Norman Brown. It was passed in at £3650. A farm of 67 aerds 3 roods, with a five-roomed house on Ashley Gorge road, Oxford, was passed in at £2600. The property was offered on account of Mr G. E. Carr. A pig breeding establishment, owned by Messrs T. H. Green and Company, at 21 Englefield road, Belfast, was also ■ passed in at auction. Included in the property are 56 acres of land, a bungalow of six rooms, several other buildings and farm equipment. A house of three main rooms on 23 perches of land at 2 Ravburn avenue, Papanui, was sold for £2900. A threeroomed house at 27 Bay View road, Redcliffs, was sold for £2175 after bidding had started at £l5OO.
