CHAPLAINS WITH K FORCE
PADRE PARR NOW AT BASE CAMP (New Zealand Press Association)
WELLINGTON, August 29. Padre P. W. D. Parr, of Christchurch. who accompanied the original New Zealand K Force to Korea, is now serving New Zealanders in their base camp at Hiro, in Japan, the new transport company now in training, and small units of engineers and signallers with the Ist Commonwealth Division in Korea. The artillery regiment will continue to be served by Padre R. McKenzie, of Raglan, who arrived in Korea with the second K Force reinforcements from New Zealand. Padre Parr was the original chaplain with the New Zealand gunners, but for the last two months he has been relieving the garrison padre for the British forces at a port "somewhere in Korea.”
