MR W. J. JORDAN HONOURED
LONDON, August 27. About 300 members of the New Zealand Government Staff Association met at the Royal Empire Society Assembly Hall to have a buffet tea and say farewell to the retiring High Commissioner (Mr W. J. Jordan). The association's president (Mr E. Watts) presented the High Commissioner with a gold watch “from all of us at New Zealand House, who as well as knowing him as High Commissioner, have been privileged to regard him alto as a friend.” “I am returning to New Zealand for some time, but you can all expect me to walk into New Zealand House again in the not too distant future as an ordinary New Zealander in London,” said Mr Jordan.
