KAESONG TALKS
No Reply To Offer Of Resumption
(Rfec. 7 p.m.) TOKYO, August 27. The Cnintse Comffiunist and North Korean leaders remained silent last night ofi General Ridgway’s offer to reopen the suspended armistice negotiatidhs at Kaesong. The Peking radio said that resuming the talks was inconceivable until “the American side revises its comtemptible ahd savage attitude.” The radio said that if the Americans did not change their attitude bf repudiating responsibility for bombing Kaesong and murddrihg a Chinese platoon leader, the resumption bf the cease-fire talks wag impossible. The broadcast added that the Ahierl. cans dared not admit a breach bf the neutrality pf Kaesong, yet they refused to conduct further negotiations.
