ACCIDENTS
KILLED IN FALL FROM TRUCK (New Zealand Press Association) WHAKATANE, August 27. When she fell from the deck of a truck travelling from Whakatane to Kutarere on Saturday evening, a Whakatane waitress was killed. She was: Maude Lucy Biddle, single, aged 28 The truck was travelling round a bend on a steep uphill grade when Miss Biddle lost her balance and fell ever backwards. She died almost immediately. Miss Biddle was going to a dance.
