CREW OF FRIGATE VOTES
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 27. Election votes were cast to-day in a booth in the ship by 120 officers and ratings in the frigate Taupo. She is to sail to-morrow afternoon for exercises in Australian waters before going to Korea to relieve the Rotoiti. Passengers’ votes have so far been taken at Auckland in the liners Monowai and Aorangi. Electors travelling in other ships will also vote before sailing.
Deputy returning officers to-day started collecting ballot papers and stationery for use at the election on Saturday.
