FIRE AUCTION SALE
A'large range of goods, damaged by water in the recent fire in the’ building occupied by the L. G. Amos Emporium, was offered for sale at auction yesterday. The tale began yesterday morning and continued until the evening. The goods sold were furniture, home utilities, hearth furniture, soft furnishings clothing, mattresses, and chesterfield suites. Chesterfield suites sold at from £l5 to £25. bedroom suites from £l9 to £55. Carpets sold at ceiling prices. A crowd of about 700 attended the beginning of the auction, and some were unable to gain admission to the auction room, which was a damaged portion of the emporium’s showroom.
