MISSIONARIES IN SOUTH CHINA
SEVERAL ARRIVE IN HONG KONG (New Zealand Press Association)
DUNEDIN, April 13. The missions secretary of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand (the Rev. J. b. Murray) advises that all Presbyterian missionaries from the Kong Chuen area of South China are now in Hong Kong with the exception of Miss Annie James. Miss James is still having difficulty in obtaining a permit to leave the country. Those who have recently arrived in Hong Kong include the Rev. E. G. Jansen and Mrs Jansen (Wellington), Misses Alice Cook (Dunedin), Dorothy Robertson (Oamaru), Flora Wilson (Wellington), and Ann Lilburn (Auckland).
The work previously done by the missionaries will be continued by Chinese Christians who will handle the hospital, schools, and university.
