STATE AID FOR RELIGIOUS SCHOOLS
Sir,—According to "The Press” of April 10 the Roman Catholics are asking for £1,000,000 out of the £15,000,000 being expended on State education in the Dominion. The Government provides a State railway service. I find it more convenient and more comfortable to use a car. I save the Government wages, upkeep, etc. Could I expect a subsidy for fuel and upkeep of my car?—Yours, etc, HOPING. April 11, 1951.
