PERISHABLE GOODS AT SENDER’S RISK
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 10. The Post Office said that for the present it wou'd accept perishable goods for transhipment between the North and South Islands at the sender’s risk alone. , An official said that parcels, newspapers and other second-claw mail wag beginning th accumulate at Christchurch, but the Hinemo* is expected to bring the bulk of this to Wellington to-morrow. The Hiiiemoa left Wei-, iingten for Lyttelton this morning with too bags of letters for the South fslartd. A move is expected to be rp’de tomorrow by the shipping companies and the Port Office to prevent any possible mail consestton. ,
